DEBATE ABOUT VISAS AND THE ENVIRONMENT

On the fifth day of DokuFest  two debates which graze important issues such as visa liberalization and environmental issues were held. 

The debate about the visa liberalization took place in the Residence of Prizren Municipality Leader, Ramadan Muja who was also present at the debate. The minister of European integration, Besim Beqaj, Venera Hajrullahu from the Kosova Civil Society Foundation KCSF, Ilir Deda from the KIPRED and representatives from the European Commition where panellists of this debate.

The subject of the debate drew the attention of festival guests and filmmakers who were present at the municipal residence. Among others,¬† Arno Aschauer, the producer of the film Little Cannes,a¬† film that was screened within the special program Branding Kosovo and that deals with Kosova said: “It’s terrifying how kosovars can travel without visas in only four countries of the world!I didn’t know that!”

 The debate was made possible with the help of KCSF and KFOS.

The other debate about the Film festivals and the environmental issues was held in the Gazi Mehmet Pasha Bath. The panellists were: Jaume Gill I Lopard, Ruben Khachatryan, Gaetano Capizzi, all three, organisers of environmental film festivals in their countries. The issues discussed in the debate were related to the possibility of having a film festival in Kosova that is dedicated to films that deal with the awareness of the audience about the environment.
